This is a “payday” trick. When I do shows for non-players, I end with this trick and it kills ’em, every time. There are yo-yo tricks that yo-yo players love, and there are tricks that get you paid…this trick gets you paid.

This is just the very beginnings of a trick, but I like where it’s going so I’m sharing a little early in the process. Fully expect to see this beginning mount turn up again later…

Today’s trick is less a “trick” and more of a nice linking move to use to transition between a trapeze mount and an under mount. It feels good, and takes up a fair bit of space…which is always what I go for with counterweight tricks.

I hate Valentine’s Day.
Always have….always will.
Song is “The Truth About Almost Everything” by Anniversary Club. They appear courtesy of Chris Stowe.
Sometimes, I make up tricks just to look good on stage. I don’t care how hard they are, I don’t care if other players like them…I just want them to look big and good on stage. This is one of those tricks. Crowds love it.
Song is “…Means You Have To Die” by The Holy Mountain. They appear courtesy of No Idea Records.
This is one of those tricks where you feel bummed for coming up with it, because it’s just so much better than most of your other tricks. And it’s super obvious. To everyone.
Still rad, though.
Song is “Dead Season” by Anniversary Club. They appear courtesy of their own bad selves.
One-handed bottom mount? My trick.

I made this up last night. I’m feeling really good about it…it’s got an interesting flow, it feels really smooth to do, and it’s got some moves that look like they kinda come out of nowhere. Success!
Song is “Scimitar” by Floor. They appear courtesy of No Idea Records.
This is one of those tricks where you say “Hey, check it out!” and everyone says “Cool!” and then no else ever does it but you. Ha ha ha…I have a lot of those tricks.
Song is “Bitethecurb, Bitethecurb” by Dillinger Four. They appear courtesy of No Idea Records.
