This is another little gem from my 2007 Worlds routine, although I can’t remember off the top of my head if it actually made it in the routine or not.

Oh, don’t make that face…we all played with AstroJax for a minute there. This trick is based on another trick from a similar toy called Monkey Knuckles, that was introduced to me when I still worked at Duncan.
Song is “Haircut” by Flanders. They’re an old local band from Tallahassee, FL that were active when I still lived there, back in ’96 or so. Not sure if they ever put out an album other than this one, but I always loved this song. Plus, I had a crush on their singer. She was adorable.
Days 32-59 – February Roundup
Sorry for the lame trick name, but I really couldn’t think of anything else. It’s been a long day already.

This is what I was trying to hit yesterday. It’s a long was from smooth and consistent, but it’s still pretty awesome.

This was so much cooler than the actual trick I was trying to hit.

This is just the very beginnings of a trick, but I like where it’s going so I’m sharing a little early in the process. Fully expect to see this beginning mount turn up again later…

Today’s trick is less a “trick” and more of a nice linking move to use to transition between a trapeze mount and an under mount. It feels good, and takes up a fair bit of space…which is always what I go for with counterweight tricks.

I hate Valentine’s Day.
Always have….always will.
Song is “The Truth About Almost Everything” by Anniversary Club. They appear courtesy of Chris Stowe.
Sometimes, I make up tricks just to look good on stage. I don’t care how hard they are, I don’t care if other players like them…I just want them to look big and good on stage. This is one of those tricks. Crowds love it.
